Summary/Abstract: In his article, the author discussed the impact of education on social cohesion of rural inhabitants in the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship (Great Poland Province). An important element of education in a broad sense is growth of human capital quality and, thus, an increase of opportunities in the market both in economic and social terms. He noted that the level of education affects the population’s life attitudes. He also pointed out that improvement of the level of education yields measurable benefits in the form of increased incomes.
