Social Inequalities and Social Capital and Sustainable Development – Theoretical Approach

Summary/Abstract: Currently the need of sustainable development, taking into account non-economic dimensions of development, hardly ever is brought into question. Reduction of developmental disparities is undoubtedly the aim of such development, its symptom, but isn’t at variance with efficiency in economy in the strict sense – on the contrary – it may be its essential factor. The article presents theoretical consideration on the relationships between income inequality in the society with sustainable development and social capital, which seems to be an intermediate link.
