Sources of Financing “green Investments ” Micro, Small and Medium -sized Enterprises in the Lubelskie Province

Summary/Abstract: “Green investments” are understood as investments in renewable energy, the effectof which is to protect the environment. They are becoming increasingly popular in Poland. It isrelated to the objectives that the European Union has set for 2020 in areas such as environmentalprotection and comprehensively promoted the ecological way of life. On financial market there aremore and more instruments through which it is possible to finance “green investments”. The aim ofthe article is to assess the method of financing investment in renewable energy based on the resultsof surveys conducted among small and medium-sized enterprises from the lubelskie province in2014–2016.The results of the survey indicate, that entrepreneurs have difficulty making decisionsabout investments in renewable energy source, and to a large extent the level of investment plansdepends on available sources of financing.
