Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses the need to accelerate transformation in the mining sector in South Africa using existing laws. The paper finds that the pace of transformation is very slow hence creating a setback for the development and assimilation of the previously disadvantaged people in South Africa. It submits that all the targets specified in various legislation and policies regarding transformation must be met.
