Summary/Abstract: The author writes about Imam Shafi, one of the four greatest legal authorities in the early Islam, the author of the Risala (a declaration, addressed to an unknown reader) and a founder of the Islamic jurisprudence principles. The author points out to the importance of studying this classical Islamic scholar in times when certain Islamophobic centers in the West attack this second element of the Islamic teaching.
