Summary/Abstract: An aim of considerations is to present some findings of the research of consumers’ attitudes towards purchases at shopping centres. There is presented (carried out from the consumer’s point of view) assessment of the relevance of purposes of visits to such outlets as well as an analysis of the selected issues representing the preferred by the consumer way of carrying out transactions. The survey, carried out on the sample of 1375 respondents, indicated, inter alia, the strong differentiation of the respondents, both in terms of the purposes of visiting the outlets in question and attitude to such shopping. The author exhibited that the basic purpose of visits to the shopping centre is exclusively purchasing of apparels, whereas other possible reasons seem to be of minor importance which is additionally highly volatile among various groups of respondents. The article is of the research nature.
