Summary/Abstract: Russia's geopolitical tradition and the basic character of the inheritance position continued without change and the country's internal (management structure), foreign policy has been shaped according to this tradition. So the attempt to create another stage in domestic and foreign policy priorities of each period in Russia has continued with the structure of different ideological views. As a result, some of the distinguishing features of the origin of Russia's domestic and foreign policy (character) has remained unchanged from the infrastructure. Thus becoming an integral part of the Russian imperial logic of propagation of the political culture, the traditional foreign policy values have shaped the identity of the Russian elite and people. The effect of the role of the classical and modern Russian geopolitical theorists in the formation of such identity is great. The article deals with the shaping of Russia's foreign policy code from classical to modern Russian geopolitical theories will be clarified by the example of the Black Sea basin and near abroad.
