Accounts receivable from motor vehicle owners insured under third party insurance agreements

Summary/Abstract: The increasing competition on the insurance market is causing premiums payment timelines to be extended and paid in instalments. Consequently, the accounts receivable from the insured are going up. In order to analyse the accounts receivable from the insured under third party automobile insurance agreements, the studies have been conducted based on the data received from the X Insurance Company. Two subsequent reporting cycles were the period under study. The study covers: –– accounts receivable from the insured as per types of vehicles, –– accounts receivable from the insured as per amount brackets, –– accounts receivable cycle times in days, –– and effectiveness of the collection policy in respect of accounts receivable.
