Summary/Abstract: This paper traces and analysis writer Hristo Bruzitsov’s career in journalism. With his five thousand or so publications in about 80 periodicals under a hundred of pen names, he made a great figure in Bulgarian journalism. He contributed to all possible fields such as interior and international affairs, social topics, economy, culture, sports and satire, writing vividly and emotionally, capturing readerships’ attention and establishing immediate contact with them, influencing and impressing his views on them. He started his career in journalism as a proof-reader to proceed as a reporter and further to editor-in-chief and director of national dailies. Apart from being a versatile journalist, Bruzitsov was also a prolific author of 27 books of memoirs, features, chronicles, travel notes and satire.
