Summary/Abstract: In this article the author examines the cultural changes of the Enlightenment in France. Viewing conditions and manifestations of these changes. Shows a brief description of the socio-political situation of France seventeenth and eighteenth centuries (the transformation of French society, the role of the idea of absolutism) and its relationship with the socio-cultural transformations (f.e. the possibility and the need to travel). Highlights the importance of the religious situation in France for cultural change (the relationship between Catholicism and Protestantism). It recognizes the role of the French language for the creation of thoughts the eighteenth century people think of science, culture, art and politics. Diversity of changes entailed multiplicity trends and theory: social, political and economic. As a result, there is a formation of a collective consciousness, a sense of community social priming, France was the country’s leading Enlightenment lead in the political and cultural, as well as presenting the example for others functioning multicultural community.
