Summary/Abstract: Technical and industrial texts belong to specialized texts. In these texts the most important elements of translation are concepts which relate to the terms of words. When you translate technical texts, it is more often and more natural to use a technique of formal equivalence, because the term refers in the source and target language to the same device, component, operating rule or technical characteristic. The most difficult in the translation of technical texts - besides the command of both languages – is correct understanding of the term in a source language and find its equivalent in the target language. In education of translators, especially translators of technical texts, the most important skill is having an open-mind to the acquirement of knowledge and the ability to reach the reference literature quickly in both languages. The aim of this article is to present how the translator who seek technical equivalent can use Internet resources ( exampled on a translation of the technical specification concerning a construction of the motorway section from Polish into French).
