Summary/Abstract: teachers of this subject appeared in 90. of XIX century and they had very good pedagogical Article regards to women that taugh Mosaic religion in public schools in Galicia during autonomy times and in interwar period. Teaching of religion was in tradition men domain. First women-teachers of this subject appeared in 90. of XIX century and they had very good pedagogical preparation, however, they didn’t have complete knowledge in judaism. They weren’t accepted neither by men who teached Mosaic religion nor by Jewish community. More often this proffesion was practised by women in the Second Polish Republic. It was extremity to employ woman who didn’t know neither Hebrew language nor Bible with notes, however, in fact it was better solution than lack of Mosaic religion in elementary school.
