The organization of education at the secondary level in the schools of the Society of Children’s Friends in Czestochowa in the years 1948–1956

Summary/Abstract: This article applies to schools under the management of the Society of Children’s Friends that existed in Czestochowa during the Stalinist period. The author focused on education at the secondary level which was to serve the creation of brand new and obedient to the authority intelligence. This goal was intended to accomplish by the Marxist-Leninist curriculum content and preferential treatment of the working – class and peasant origin youth. The secular secondary schools of the Society of Children’s Friends organized in the cooperation with the party members constituted a special kind of political power instruments. There manifested particularly clearly ideologization as well as politicization of the educational process what was seen during daily lessons and school celebrations.
