Summary/Abstract: The article presents the history of the Department for Four-senses Jewish children in Bojanowo Wielkopolskie in Poland in the interwar period. The department in Bojanów Wielkopolski was opened in 1926 thanks to Rose Melzer. There were recruited qualified teaching staff and the latest teaching methods were used. The department closely cooperated with the recognized in Europe center of Vienna and achieved satisfactory results in teaching. However, the lack of funds forced the department to rely on the generosity of benefactors. Because of the lack of determination of Rose Melzer who died in 1934, the facility was moved to Warsaw limiting its activities to Jewish education and training the blind.
