Summary/Abstract: Disabled people aren’t different than the others, they have the same needs, desires, aspiration, the sensitivity, as well as the inner force for managing their life. Unfortunately they aren’t able, due to healthy restrictions, to adapt in an optimal way to surrounding without the appropriate support. Such a person requires the help in order to carry out one’s plans and desires, and get from others experience. Nowadays disability doesn’t sentence people to the helplessness and the passivity. Disabled people can count on the support of various organizations and institutions which are giving her the chance of assimilating into society, and taking up the work. Instruments supporting the employment directed at disabled people and potential employers are also available. However professional problems which they are contending are often connected with the selection of an occupation, as well as preparing for the career and for her with getting, or staying in the employment, effectively discourage them from any activity. In this place it is worth noticing that all taken actions should consist in increasing the potential of the disabled person and the compensation for her shortages. At first the disabled person must accept her state, next important is motivating for action, excitement and impelling real duties to do are becoming essential. Real that is of the ones which are possible after taking existing shortages. The article is an attempt of the answer the question whether instruments available in Poland of the activation of disabled people are effective, or require thorough changes?
