Summary/Abstract: policy in the post-Milosevic period. The article argues that Serbia was confrontedwith a negative external image, which emerged after the crimes againsthumanity that occurred in former Yugoslavia in the early 1990s, during theconflicts that marked the dissolution of this multi-national federation. The articleshows how Serbia overcame this negative perception through a pragmatic pro-European policy and intelligently used the 2015 migration crisis to show a newface to European leaders. Moreover, the article shows that Serbia is trying tokeep a balance between Russia and the EU, but that this balance is increasinglyprecarious
