Summary/Abstract: The author presents two textbooks that appeared in the second half of the 19th century.These are "Le Nouvel Abécédaire" by Al. I. Odobescu and V.B. Borgovanu and "Universal History or the History of the World", narrated by secondary school teachers, written by N. Iorga, which were commented on to highlight one of the preoccupations of ex-Romanian students in Paris.The importance of this preoccupation reflects the evolution of Romanian teaching and the Franco-Romanian inter- ferences throughout the centuries
