Summary/Abstract: The collection of manuscripts of the National Museum of History of Romania contains an important background of about 50 documents, from the years 1838 to 1840, which may be grouped according to their containers into several political, administrative, Economic, social, etc. A separate lot contains special correspondence and degrees in elevation. A very important document is the draft constitution drafted by the National Party of Walachia, led by Ion Campinaanu, dated 5/17 November 1838. According to this project the suverine had unlimited rights: he could declare war for independence Of the country, to reign over all the Romanian provinces, etc. All civil liberties which characterize equality with the law, freedom of the individual, liberty of speech, press, The universal voting of the age of 25, the separation of powers, the irremovability of magistrates, the institution of a national order, the national guard, and so on. The other documents are complaints, purchases of agricultural land, vines, forests. The documents are written in Romanian in the Cyrillic alphabet. But there are also some, in French, such as the letters of Elisabetha von Sachtelen addressed to the Prince of Wallachia, Alexander D. Ghyka.
