Summary/Abstract: Validation of non-formal and informal learning is very important task for all European countries. This article presents an overview of the situation regarding validation in Bulgaria. After describing the validation regulations in Bulgaria it explains the main differences between validation steps in Bulgaria and Germany and presents some selected statistics on the structure of unemployment. Finally, the question of the quality of counselling by specially trained specialists with higher education is raised.
