Summary/Abstract: In order to keep the archival material as "a good cultural and historical heritage" and to use it as a source of data rationally, it is necessary to be stored in the archives. Taking over of archival material from the holders is the only purpose of the overall co-operation of archives with registers. The manner of handover of archival material between archive holders and archives is regulated by the Law on archival activity and the Instructions on the handling of archival material between holders of archival material and the competent archives. This act and guidelines provide that archive holders of public material are obliged to surrender them to a competent archive within 20 years of its occurrence. The archival material of physical and civil-legal persons is taken over by purchase, gift and deposit. The material submitted by the competent archive must be sorted and listed. The commission is made up of a commission of a holder of archive material, as a lecturer, and a competent archive, as a receiver. The basic document on the handover is the transcript of the record, which must contain the name of the possessor who handles the archival material and the name of the competent archive who takes over the archival material, the place and date of the handover, a general overview of the archival material by years and types, history of the archive material maker and the conditions and manner of use of the material that are handover.
