Summary/Abstract: Portraying the position of the Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data (GIODO) in the system of authorities is a Subject of the present article. The first part was devoted to establishing the links of the baulk with protection of personal data in with the right to privacy. Next was stayed described relations between GIODO and other authorities in the constitutional-legal presentation. Also visualising of the manner of the creation it was necessary organ, principle incompatibilitas, of the political neutrality or the immunity which refer to GIODO. Extended characteristics of GIODO entitlements expressed in the Data Protection Act are closing the Whole of deliberations what allowed for comprehensive and full re-asserting the position of this organ relating to other public authorities.
