Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the theoretical basis of of privatization and the description of the privatization process in Poland, which took place after the transformation of the system in 1989. Moreover, it presents the impact on the position and development of the state and identified stakeholders. The last part of the article is an empirical and an analysis and assessment of the effects of the privatization process, both from the point of view of the Polish economy, society and employees of privatized enterprises in 1990–2009.
