A Semiotic Analysis Attempt Related To The Application Of Greimas’ Act ants Model On A Situation Story

Summary/Abstract: Semiology uses some instruments while analyzing a text, in other words, while clarifying the deep structure of the text through its surface structure, i.e. in order to reach at the meaning universe of the text. The aim of this study is to explore how "Actants Model" of Greimas can be applied on a case-story. Firstly, the segments in this story were determined and then, each segment was analyzed in terms of discourse and narrative levels. Lastly, a general evaluation is done about the narrative and semantic structure of the story.
