Summary/Abstract: This study has sought to discover the learning styles of frehman senior students at English Language Teaching Departments in some Faculties of Education to see whether learning styles exhibit dramatic differences between freshman and senior students and to investigate whether these styles are inherent or can be affected by learning experiences. It has further aimed to determine whether certain learning styles are especially important in foreign language learning. The research sample consists of 812 freshman and senior students attending English Language Teaching Departments in D.E.U., G.U. and Ç.O.M.U. who were selected as subjects randomly. The ILS questionnaire developed by Richard Felder and Barbara Solomon 1996 was used in order to survey the learning style preferences of the participants.
