Summary/Abstract: The article provides a deeper analysis of the Congrua Act of 1926. It points not only to the normative wording of this regulation but also to various practical problems associated with the application of its individual institutes, and thus deepens analysis of the act itself with analysis of its implementation. However, the main objective of the article is to analyse changes brought by this law. Therefore, the author puts the examined act into the wider framework of the reform of rewards of the clergy in the first Czechoslovak Republic.
