Summary/Abstract: This article is focused on the evolution of NATO's Strategic Concept, with theaccent on the drafting process of the new Strategic Concept (2010). It identifies the centralfeatures of the new security environment, specifies the general principles of the Alliance inorder to address the new security issues and provides guidelines for the continousadaptation of its forces.
