Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the evolution of the company's activities, an indication of the new direction of the activities of modern enterprises and the measurement of the activity of the company. The primary objective of the company's activities from the 90's is defined as the maximization of value for the owners. At the present time, the goal of the company is completed with the statement that maximize long-term value is synonymous with corporate social responsibility. Today's managers are aware that corporate social responsibility is not at odds with maximizing shareholder value. This means that companies should work on products that customers want to buy, make these products efficient way to sell them at competitive prices and comply with the laws related to corporate governance. The companies that do well with maximizing the value of its shares, also operate in the interest of society be and contribute to the welfare of its members (Brigham, 2015, Houston, s. 5, 11,25). Against the background of these considerations, the paper presents proposals utility meter to the modern business enterprises operating in the capital market, which may be the Respect Index.
