The monitoring of the communication in the workplace

Summary/Abstract: The article has as starting point a recent judgement of the European Court of Human Rights on monitoring the communications in the workplace that brings again into question the issue of the right to respect for private life and the secrecy of correspondence (article 8 of the Convention) put, this time, in the conext of labour relations, of the balance that has to be found between the right protected by the Convention and the prerogatives’ exercise of the employer of organization, direction and control, respecting the right to dignity at work of the employee.
