Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to discuss how parameter setting approach influence the first and second language representation in the mind and to summarize approaches about the initial state of language. Thus, it is thought that the reader will have an idea of how a bilingual’s mental representation within the framework of Universal Grammar is being shaped.
