Summary/Abstract: Analysis of the relevant Serbian political parties programs (Socialist Party of Serbia, Democratic Party, Serbian Renewal Movement, Serbian Radical Party, Democratic Party of Serbia) in the period of 1990-2001 has shown that none from the above mentioned parties has managed to present normatively “clear” economic matrix, but all of them have opted for eclectic mixture. Genesis of their programs reflects combination of elements of various schools of economic thoughts. Although all relevant parties were advocating restitution of private property, market liberalization, launching of privatization and redefinition of the state regulative role in economy, their models of economic politics are quite distinctive: SPS is still advocating model of “market socialism”, SRM is authentic advocate of native rural traditionalism, whereas DPS argues for the West-European social-democratic model of “social market economy”. SRP makes combination of ideas of classic, Keynesian and (neo)liberal style of economy and, at the very end, DP will make evolution from “people’s capitalism” (Volkska¬pital¬ismus¬) into some variation of neoliberal „East-European Thatcherism“.
