Individual conducting economic activities as the subject of competitive relations

Summary/Abstract: Subjective issues have been regulated on the basis of laws relating to the competitive relations. The issue of mutual relations of entities conducting economic activities – including individuals – was recognized mainly in the context of their protection against threats posed by other entities applying anti-competitive activities, but also from the point of view of the whole market and consumers. However, three methods of such regulation should be distinguished: the first one is characterized by the use of civil protection measures in order to protect market participants against the so-called unfair competition, the second one is associated with the protective competences of an appropriate public authority, while the third one assumes the formulation of a number of prohibitions designed for the purpose of preventing certain entities – primarily individuals – from participating in competitive relations.
