Summary/Abstract: Among many topics covered in the Bible there are also those associated with teaching and education. Both processes applied to all layers of Israeli society and related mainly to the family. The first educator of the chosen people was God himself. His words were passed to the people most of all by prophets and sages, but also by the priests and Levites. From the very beginning the given truth was linked with the requirements of morals. The revelation of Jesus Christ and his proclamation of the Gospel was the capstone of God’s pedagogy.
