Summary/Abstract: The example of Gligorije Jeftanović, the most influential and wealthiest Serb in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the Austro-Hungarian rule and his involvement in providing supplies for the Austro-Hungarian military, shows one method of economic rise of the B&H economic elites that cooperated and were fervently supported by the government itself.
