Summary/Abstract: In institutions which aim child care, a primary place is occupied by adoption, one of the most current and controversial phenomena of contemporary law, which has, especially after the World War II, a spectacular ascension in most world countries. The purpose of adoption is to protect the interests of children deprived of parental care or of an appropriate care to provide an environment of stability, harmony, happiness and understanding, for harmonious development of their personality.
