Summary/Abstract: A series of research conducted in the Western countries highlight the fact that the number of divorces increased and the crisis, issues and negative family events have multiplied, with consequences, as a series of researchers and specialists remarked, in the family sociology, the changes of the traditional functions of the family in the contemporary times and the social-economic and political conditions that represent each country separately, had and can still have an important influence on the human relations, even at the most intimate association level, directly on the destabilization of the home. When referring to the new tendencies that characterize divorce in the contemporary society, namely: the spouses’ agreement on the separation, the actual separation, the re-marriage after divorce and the fact that often, the woman takes this risk, and has the initiative to separate from the partner, an inconceivable situation in the traditional family, M. Segaled considers that the divorce is no longer a deviant, but it is inscribed in the new logic of the marriage.
