Issues Related to Establishing the Legal Obligation of Support

Summary/Abstract: Throughout history, the whole family finds its lifeblood and justifies its existence, in the spiritual ties that emerge between its members, links that argue material and moral support each other.Explicit statutory regulation of support is a guarantee of fair application of laws and a means of removing obstacles that could lead to the breakup of the family, due to the fact that in this way it is made voluntarily, not by coercion. By regulating a historical sequence express legal regulations (the 1864 Civil Code, Family Code and the Civil Code in force), Romanian legislature does nothing but emphasize the importance of family functions and the general interest of society to protect the family.
