Summary/Abstract: Romanian Law no. 102/2014 incriminates certain facts which are punishable as contraventions. This short overview has as primary objective the identification and presentation of the facts considered by the current legislation as being contraventions to the general regime of cemeteries, human crematoriums and funeral services. As secondary objective, we'll put forward some de lege ferenda proposals destined to reinforce the protection of the rules that ensure a decent character to the funeral and civilized conditions for paying the last tribute at the deceased’s burial site.
