Correspondence of collocations of the lexeme ženský/mužský in translation from Czech into Polish

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to examine the correspondence of collocations of the lexeme ženský/mužský intranslation from Czech to Polish on basis of data from the parallel language corpus InterCorp. Theinvestigation will be based on the component of InterCorp with Czech original texts and their Polishtranslations. I will try to find all possible collocations of the lexeme ženský/mužský with nouns in the framework of the Czech component. Next I will find their equivalents in Polish and I will compare them with the original collocations. I will analyse the most frequent examples and I will refer to methods used in Polish translations. Thanks to mutual correspondence I will be able to count the percentage of translation equivalency and I will determine the extent of the equivalency between Czech and Polish for investigated lexemes.
