Summary/Abstract: This book aims to present an overview of the mental processes involved in the conference interpretation activity, starting with the primary processes, sensation and perception, moving through attention and memory, and continuing with the imagination and emotional processes, motivation and willpower. Thought and language have not been addressed, as they can be the subject of an individual study. The memory is analyzed in detail to highlight the role of all memory processes in conference interpretation. In addition, short-term memory and long-term memory are treated separately, emphasizing the role of each in the interpreter's activity. We have highlighted the cases of success or failure in the restitution of information related to the functioning of psychological processes.
