Summary/Abstract: Alternative cultures in Europe of the last century are very motley. They can by hardly, percisely classified because they constantly originate and disappear and many of them absolutely miss the precise contours. Sometimes they are also called the counter-cultures, or the sub-cultures. Various titles basically only emphasize various characters of these cultures. We have chosen a term of alternative culture because it seems to be neutral, even though it indicates that it concerns an alternative to something – that means probably to the dominant culture.
