TEN YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ACTIVITIES AND CULTURAL ARCHIVE TUZLA (1992-2002)

Summary/Abstract: During the period from 1992 to 2002. the Archives of Tuzla, in spite of present difficulties in operation (war, lack of financial resources, insufficient staffing, etc.), in scientific research, publishing and cultural activities achieved significant results. Scientific research were important area of engagement of Archive’s employees. Numerous professional and scientific papers in the field of archival theory and practice of this environment presented at international and domestic conferences. Archivists have contributed to the affirmation of the Archives and, more importantly, the development of the archival profession as a whole. This is ultimately reflected in the publication of several professional and other publications, and five issues of the journal "Archival practice", and continuously undertaken and numerous facilities cultural activities. By organizing special exhibitions, conferences, round tables, and cooperation with electronic media, archival activity has gained in importance in the wider environment. All this does not mean that at this level reached maximum. More intense cultural and scientific facilities are still needed.
