Summary/Abstract: In the archival practice we can often find some contradictory demands of use of archival material respectively his primary data and metadata po tential. This leads many times to the logical paradoxes of modern archival theory and practice. To set out the above defined paradoxes there must be in frame of archival information systems clearly established contextual relationship not only inside the archival material and can be realised with help of archival professional principles, especially the principle of prove nance and principle of origin, but also with consistent consideration of principles of context. Principles of context are reestablished inside the archival material and also connect archival material with general micro and macro historical facts, time and spatial dimensions or persons, families and corporate bod ies which are in any connections with treated archival contents. Many of these problems can be solved at the present time with consistent imple mentation of the newest version of international standards ISAD(g) and ISAAR(CPF). From the starting point of general treating of the principle of context the records about geographical location and records that contain information about the date or time period must be in future also defined as standard type records. Despite of known or expected problems by solving of these problems the solution in the direction of implementation of today known information technology can be the real solution of these basic archival problems.
