Summary/Abstract: The role of archives in the democratization of society, including the possibility of realization of citizens' rights, is significant, Realizing this, Archive in Tuzla makes enormous efforts in that direction. However, despite this positive approach, yearly we solve only about 70% of the requests. The reasons are the incompleteness of archival funds (usually as a result of negligent treatment in a registry), non professional pretreatment of funds (because of insuficient number of employees), and due to the non-application range of IT technology (programs, resources, etc..). Overcoming these difficulties is in progress.
