The wines in France compared with Tokaji in the 19th century

Summary/Abstract: Within the present study the author provided a comparative analysis between the Tokaji and French wines, offering various technical and historical data. Some pieces of information are more than interesting, showing the celebrity that the Tokaji wine reached during the 19th century not only Europe, but also North America, where Thomas Jefferson unsuccessfully tried to acclimatize the Tokaji furmint.
