Summary/Abstract: In a lexical universe where the acronyms are gaining more ground and the technical jargon is becoming more comprehensive, while developments in information and communications technology (ICT) require a rapid amending of terms – the need for clarification becomes obvious regarding the studied domain’s ontology and taxonomy - in this case ICT-based distance learning (eLearning).
