Summary/Abstract: The paper focuses on explaining the importance of the taxonomic and terminological structure of the eLearning systems, both for eliminating possible confusions and for a clearer and better understanding of the necessities and the infrastructure needs, as well as of the human and material resources involved in developing such systems. Thus, the paper presents the taxonomy and terminology used by the architects of information as well as the structure of relations among the entities and specific realities of the eLearning systems based on online educational platforms.
