Summary/Abstract: Article examines the sabers and cross-guard of the so-called “Bulgarian type” found in recent years in the basin of the upper and middle Dniester basin. This question is very relevant. In fact, until recently, their discovery occurred mainly from the territory of Bulgaria. However, I believe that these sabers clearly Byzantine origin. The fact that the morphology of their crosshairs, manufacturability and ease of objects allow us to conclude about their weight, and standardized production. These sabers were made public workshops. I believe that the so-called sabers “Bulgarian type” should be considered as examples of long-bladed weapon type known as Paramirion.
