Summary/Abstract: The paper presents some arguments identified in the literature, less known, regarding the reasons of low motivation of the present-day students, namely the diminishing of the number of adults taking part in training courses. The acknowledgement of these arguments is necessary in order to determine the teachers and the teacher trainers to reflect upon them and, as a result, to increase their willingness to improve and enrich their knowledge about training opportunities of the virtual space and of blended learning. The present day educational system, through the requirements of the everyday realities – the students’ attitude towards school, the adults’ difficulty in managing personal time, requires the educators and teacher trainers to have new digital skills, which could help them complete and/ or alternate traditional teaching and learning, collaborative in the laboratory or classroom, with sequences of individual/ group learning, on e-learning platforms and in negotiated periods of time or left to the decision of the learners. This paper deals with the idea that that involving personalized learning sequences in the process of teaching or training, according to the characteristics of the group and designed with the help of certain digital tools, stimulates interactivity and self-evaluation, which certainly leads to efficiency of the teaching – learning - assessing process. In the final part of the paper we have underlined the idea of the necessity for teachers and teacher trainers to take part in European training activities, together with colleagues from other educational systems, in order to experiment the new technologies developed in the field of blended – learning and in order to achieve new skills in the “art of teaching with ICT tools”.
