Impact analysis of selected energy carrier for heating cost in agritourism building and issuance harmful substances to atmosphere

Summary/Abstract: Calculations of the final energy required for the space heating of the exemplary single-family building located in Euroregion Beskidy are presented. Four energy carriers (lignite, coal, oil and gas) are taken into account for comparison. Calculations of fuel consumption and purchase cost are based on the fuels calorific value and the boiler thermal efficiency. The total amount of emissions produced during the combustion of studied fuels in the heating season is determined. Observed differences between studied energy carriers are significant. After consideration economic and environmental aspects, natural gas for heating buildings on attractive tourist areas is recommended.
