Summary/Abstract: Stanisław Godlewski writes on three selected plays presented during the “World Is a Place of Truth” Theater Olympics, as part of the “More Than Theater” movement. Writing on Tisza be-Aw by Theater 21, originally presented at the POLIN Museum, Genghis Khan by the Monster Truck ensemble, and Protected Species by Rafał Urbacki and Anu Czerwiński, he chiefly focuses on how they form a relationship between the stage and the audience. The author sees these plays as problematizing the power to create the Other in the viewer’s gaze, requiring him to revise his position on the normative discourse.
